Main Street Florist is hiring for a Sales Consultant/Floral Assistant position. Applicant must hold a variety of characteristics and qualifications; the most important being strong sales skills, a positive attitude, a keen passion for design, and a desire to work in a busy, creative environment.
We are looking for a good fit for our creative “team” atmosphere:
Must be a fast learner and able to work independently
Must be computer and tech savvy; experience with google apps, Excel, Canva, and social media platforms a plus. We create a lot of social media content. If you’re not too camera shy… that’s a bonus.
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Must bring a can do attitude and enjoy working with customers.
Must be able to multitask and understand the importance of prioritizing tasks.
Must have the ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail
Must be a self-starter that can take instruction.
Must have the ability to lift and perform physical labor (we don’t just play with flowers).
Applicants must be available to work 1-3 days a week depending on the season, including Saturdays (flexibility is key). Position starts at minimum wage with potential for sales incentives. Primary Job Responsibilities:
Greet customers in-store, answer phone calls, and handle inquiries.
Assist in creating floral arrangements and designs as directed.
Deliver orders to customers in MSF delivery van
Take and process flower orders, providing suggestions to meet customer needs.
Use the point of sale system and mobile apps for daily operations.
